I am so glad to join English 396K class. I like project3 most. Because of I like different couture in different country. As far as I am concerned, to have this class is a good way to improve our computer skill. I have remembered that I and Rita did Scotland culture together. From this project, I have learned that why Scotland man want to dress skirt. I think it is so funny. Actually I didn’t like project 5 create a wiki. I don’t know what wiki is at first, I also think that it is no necessary for us to create a wiki. I think we should put more video in our project; it can make our project more interesting. Also I think this project should include more about American information. Maybe it is good for us to know more about American. At last, I want to say that we should do more things by ourselves in this class. We should dig up our potential to send more video on the internet.

Project 6 Blog

I think that writing in Chinese is more colorful. Because of china has a long history. It about more than 5000 years history long in china, there are many poems. Chinese culture is famous in the world. The language in china is very colorful. When I am writing in Chinese, I can use the language free, I can write down what I want to write. When I read Chinese, I was attractive by the article. Chinese history was more than 5000 years long. There were many kings in ancient china. Several of them were successful; also some of them were bad. There were many dynasties in ancient china. The people in ancient china are very poor, they don’t have good education. But there were many poems in ancient china, the languages in china is so difficult, especially in ancient china. When I must write in America, I feel that it is so difficult for me to write. Because of I don’t know complete words, and it is so difficult to represent my idea. I think I learn a lot in ENGL396K, I know how to images photos, and video. It’s a good way to improve my English.

The different between Chinese writting and American writting

Whether in China or in the US should we improve our writing skills, there are many different between writing in China and writing in the US. At first when we were in China, we also use paper to write or attend a test. Maybe Chinese school didn't have enough computers. But in American we usually use computer to attend a test. Second the way to evaluate Chinese writing and US writing is different. In the US, we usually need to summarize something. Actually we couldn’t use something from the book. When we get something from the internet, we should write down the name of the internet. But totally in China it is different. In china, if you want to get a high score of writing. You should use beautiful sentence and special words to declare your article. Beautiful language is important in china, especially the language with poetry. But it is so hard for us to write an article use the language with poetry in the US. Actually when we have writing in the US, we improve ourselves a lot. I think writing is one of the best ways to improve our English skill, to summarize something can improve our ability of conclusion.

Hiroshima’s Picture after the Bomb

On August, 6, 1945, the nuclear weapon Little Boy was dropped on Hiroshima. Nearly 80,000 people were killed directly. At the end of the year, the number reached 140,000. Approximately 69% of the city's buildings were completely destroyed, and 6.6 percent severely damaged. Till now, the atomic radiation also has bad effects on the people living there. I cannot imagine what the situation there was! Such a beautiful city was destroyed on a second! In the war, there were so many people dead. After the bomb, the entire city became grey and was full of sadness. We cannot say who is right or wrong in the war because so many Japanese were innocent. However, just these innocent people lost their family and lives. I believe nobody wants wars, and everyone wants to have a peaceful life with the family. In the war, so many people died and after the war, people had to rebuild the ruins. We love peace, so we do not want to see another Hiroshima.

A computer is important in the world

It was about ten years ago. I know what the computer was. Computer is an advanced tool; it can help us to do nearly everything. Now the technology in the world develops faster. Many years ago, people do something all by themselves. But now computer just like a robot, it can help you to do everything. At first, computer can help us to remember something. We can make a plan and save it on the computer. It instead of handwriting. Maybe in the future, we will not need accountants. Because of the computer, we can do something more easily. For example, if you want find some words; computer can instead of the dictionary. Actually, it has widely used then books. In the second hand, commuter can do some convenience for us. We can find the news by surfing the internet; we can also relax ourselves by the computer. We can listen to the music on the computer. Young people like play computer games, maybe its harm to us. But it also proof that a computer is useful. Computer influence me much, it makes I know that the technology in the world is more and more important. Because of the advanced technology, computer will be the basic tool in the future.

Food

I like food. Especially Chinese food. In my hometown. There are many delicious foods. I come from northeast part of china. My hometown Harbin is famous for ice and snow. So there are many special foods made of ice. Like ‘Tanghulu’. It’s made of fruit and sugar. It's a special kind of dessert. The second special food in my hometown is The visco-toufu. It’s also tastes sweets. Now I am studying in the US. It’s a good challenge for me. I must do everything all by myself. I should cook by myself. I should adapt in American food. But there are so many different between Chinese food and American food.
The staple food. American people like to eat bread. Chinese prefer rice and noodle. Main course
Chinese people like difficulty food Something with beef pork or fish. The boil beef tastes spicy, but it is very delicious! I also like to eat boil fish. We can cook it all by ourselves. American main course is Steak. Salmon The dessert in chinese and American is nearly the same. Like dessert, icecream. Many different countries have different food. Italy has Italy noodles. Japanese has Sushi. But I like chinese food best.

My family

There are three people in my family. My father is a banker. He doesn't work in my hometown. He has a stable job. He works very hard to earn money. So I have a comfortable life, then I have the opportunity to study in the US. In my opinion, my father is a perfect man. He is the hero in my heart. Not only he can earn money to help me to study in the US, but also he has nice moral character. If he want to do something, he must put his heart to do it. He think that nothing is important if he want to do it. He also think that I can study well in the US. He hopes that I can do well in all of my course. My mother works for the government. She also works hard. She also have a stable job. She wants me to be a successful person. So she suggests me to study in the US. She wants me to learn advanced skill, and know more knowledge. Then I can start my career. When I was a child, my parents often help me to do something. But I am an adult now, I must to do everything all by myself. So I select to study in a unknown country. I am facing with the challenge now. I must fit in the foreign life. I must learn English to communicate with other people. Even though I must cook by myself. So I become more independent now. I think study in the US is a good thing. Not only I can learn knowledge, But also I can do everything all by myself.
Actually I like my life now. But I also miss my parents. Before I came to the US, we can travel together, we can go shopping together. I miss my hometown, I love my family. I think that there can't find a place better then my family. I should study hard to success. I am proud of my father. I hope in the future my parents will be proud of me.
